This guide provides information about the operations and services of the library at Wesley Theological Seminary

ILL and Document Delivery

The Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery service facilitates access to materials that the seminary library does not have in its own collection. Wesley Theological Seminary faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students may borrow materials from other libraries through ILL/Document Delivery.

Requests
Requests for the following items will be processed:

  • physical books
  • articles, book chapters, essays, and reviews

Requests for the following items will not be processed:

  • material already owned by the library at the Wesley Theological Seminary
  • media in any format
  • entire journals, periodicals, and newspapers

Limitations 
When submitting requests, be aware of the following:

  • Due to the ongoing coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, ILL/Document Delivery requests may take longer to process.
  • Response and delivery times are subject to the operations of other libraries.
  • ILL requests for physical books can take 10-14 days for processing and delivery.
    • 1-3 day requests for physical books cannot be processed.
    • All ILL requests for physical books must be picked up; the library will not mail them. 
    • The library may try to obtain an eBook version of a request if it is not available through ILL.
  • ILL requests for articles, book chapters, essays, and reviews can take 3-14 business days for processing and delivery.
    • 1-3 day requests for articles, book chapters, essays, and reviews cannot be processed.
    • All ILL requests for articles, book chapters, essays, and reviews will be available electronically.
